What you will do

• Advise on the application of the Commodity Exchange Act (CEA), CFTC, and SEC regulations to exchange and clearing operations.
• Draft and review contract self-certifications, regulatory filings, and participation agreements.
• Prepare responses to regulatory inquiries and examinations and monitor enforcement trends.
• Develop exchange and clearinghouse rulebooks.
• Collaborate with Compliance and Surveillance teams to support internal policies and procedures.
• Support the development of litigation strategy.

Requirements

• J.D. and active U.S. bar membership.
• 3–7 years of relevant experience in derivatives, exchange and clearing regulation, or financial market structure.
• Deep familiarity with the Commodity Exchange Act and CFTC regulations.
• Strong legal writing, analytical skills, and professional judgment.
• Must be based in New York for on-site work.
