Technical Architect (Identity Management)

TL;DR

Technical Architect (Identity Management): Providing hands-on implementation and deployment services for customers using the Okta platform with an accent on identity federation and secure access control models. Focus on designing complex enterprise identity landscapes, solving technical integration challenges, and driving long-term customer success.

Location: Must be available to work onsite in Northern Virginia. Candidate must be a U.S. Person and possess an active Top Secret Clearance.

What you will do

• Lead multiple concurrent customer deployment projects to ensure seamless implementation and long-term success.
• Gather and analyze post-sales requirements to provide innovative technical consulting services.
• Perform hands-on technical design, configuration, and troubleshooting of the Okta service.
• Implement identity federation and access control models using SAML 2.0, WS-Federation, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Support to address escalated issues and drive product development.
• Mentor and train customers on the service and maintain deployment standard methodologies in the knowledge repository.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience as a technical consultant delivering solutions to external customers.
• Active Top Secret Clearance.
• Documentation establishing U.S. Person status (Citizen, National, Lawful Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee).
• Experience with identity federation protocols including OAuth, OpenID Connect, SAML 2.0, and WS-Federation.
• Software development experience with Java, Ruby, .Net, PHP, or REST/JSON.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and a major MVC framework such as React, Angular, or Backbone.

Nice to have

• Experience designing security and identity management solutions for critical systems and business programs.
• Previous experience delivering Okta implementations.
• Mobile development experience (iOS and Android).
