TL;DR
Sr. Systems Architect (Cybersecurity): Designing and optimizing internal MDR service delivery systems and infrastructure with an accent on scalable distributed systems and high-throughput event processing. Location: Remote (Must be based in the USA)
Salary: $160,000 - $250,000

What you will do
- Design and document comprehensive system architecture for detection ingestion, ticketing, and customer data workflows.
- Develop integration patterns and API strategies connecting multiple distributed systems.
- Create architectural roadmaps to support 10x growth while reducing overall system complexity.
- Design workflows enabling AI agent integration for automated triage and escalation.
- Guide engineering teams on architectural implementation and industry best practices.
- Audit existing systems to identify bottlenecks and recommend modernization strategies.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience designing and shipping distributed systems in production.
- Proven experience debugging high-throughput systems (100k+ events/sec) using Kafka, Kinesis, or RabbitMQ.
- 5+ years in security operations, MDR, MSSP, or SOC environments.
- Strong expertise in API design (REST, GraphQL), relational/NoSQL databases, and cloud-native architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Production experience with Kubernetes and CI/CD pipeline design.
- Must be a U.S. candidate.
Nice to have
- Experience with SOAR platforms or security automation.
- Background in incident response or SOC operations.
- Experience with observability architecture using Datadog or Grafana.
- Experience with AI/ML or agentic system architecture.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001.
