TL;DR

Commercial Sales Director (AI): Leading and growing the commercial sales motion across the Eastern US region with an accent on building a team of account executives and driving adoption of AI agent engineering tools. Focus on establishing relationships with technical buyers, managing regional quotas, and scaling mid-market and commercial accounts.

Location: On-site in New York, NY

Salary: $300,000–$350,000 OTE + Equity

LangChain is building the foundation for agent engineering, providing a platform for building, evaluating, and deploying production-ready AI agents.

What you will do

  • Hire, coach, and develop a team of commercial account executives (AEs) covering the Eastern US.
  • Manage regional quotas and team performance for mid-market and commercial accounts with ACVs ranging from $20K to $200K+.
  • Collaborate with SDRs, Solutions Engineering, and Customer Success to accelerate deals and drive account expansion.
  • Build strategic relationships with technical buyers (CTOs, AI/ML teams) and economic buyers (VPs, C-suite).
  • Partner with Marketing and Product teams to develop pipeline-building programs and establish field feedback loops.
  • Forecast accurately and report on pipeline health, deal velocity, and team performance.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of quota-carrying SaaS sales experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing a sales team.
  • Consistent track record of closing mid-market and commercial deals in the $20K–$200K+ ACV range.
  • Ability to engage and earn trust from technical audiences and developers.
  • Experience building sales pipelines from scratch.
  • Strong forecasting discipline and proficiency with Salesforce.

Nice to have

  • Background in developer tools, data infrastructure, MLOps, or AI/ML tooling.
  • Familiarity with the AI/LLM ecosystem, including agents and observability.
