TL;DR
Commercial Sales Director (AI): Leading and growing the commercial sales motion across the Eastern US region with an accent on building a team of account executives and driving adoption of AI agent engineering tools. Salary: $300,000–$350,000 OTE + Equity

What you will do
- Hire, coach, and develop a team of commercial account executives (AEs) covering the Eastern US.
- Manage regional quotas and team performance for mid-market and commercial accounts with ACVs ranging from $20K to $200K+.
- Collaborate with SDRs, Solutions Engineering, and Customer Success to accelerate deals and drive account expansion.
- Build strategic relationships with technical buyers (CTOs, AI/ML teams) and economic buyers (VPs, C-suite).
- Partner with Marketing and Product teams to develop pipeline-building programs and establish field feedback loops.
- Forecast accurately and report on pipeline health, deal velocity, and team performance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of quota-carrying SaaS sales experience.
- At least 2 years of experience managing a sales team.
- Consistent track record of closing mid-market and commercial deals in the $20K–$200K+ ACV range.
- Ability to engage and earn trust from technical audiences and developers.
- Experience building sales pipelines from scratch.
- Strong forecasting discipline and proficiency with Salesforce.
Nice to have
- Background in developer tools, data infrastructure, MLOps, or AI/ML tooling.
- Familiarity with the AI/LLM ecosystem, including agents and observability.
