What you will do

• Define and evolve reliability standards, including SLOs, error budgets, and production readiness across critical services.
• Lead high-severity incident response as Incident Commander and implement AI-assisted workflows for alert triage and root-cause analysis.
• Architect resilient service designs for graceful degradation and capacity planning within AWS.
• Mentor engineering teams on reliability practices, observability, and AI-assisted operational workflows.
• Build automation tools to reduce toil and improve on-call quality for product engineering teams.
• Analyze architectural risks using production data and AI-driven insights to prevent recurring issues.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in SRE, Software Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid capacity in Mountain View, CA.
• Proven track record of improving reliability KPIs at scale.
• Experience shipping AI/LLM-integrated engineering or operational workflows.
• Strong software engineering skills in Python, Go, or similar languages.
• Deep expertise in observability (Datadog, CloudWatch) and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform).

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech or highly regulated environments (SOC 2, PCI).
• Knowledge of FinOps and cost/performance optimization.
