Senior Associate – Employment Tribunal Advocate (Employment Law): Representing employer clients in Employment Tribunal proceedings across the full lifecycle of claims with an accent on advocacy, strategy, and complex contentious work. Focus on delivering persuasive oral submissions, conducting cross-examinations, drafting high-quality pleadings, and providing commercially focused advice on unfair dismissal, discrimination, TUPE, and grievance processes.

What you will do

  • Act as advocate in Employment Tribunal proceedings, including preliminary, full merits, and remedy hearings
  • Deliver persuasive oral submissions, conduct cross-examinations, and manage witnesses
  • Draft high-quality pleadings, skeleton arguments, opinions, and case strategies
  • Advise employer clients on prospects, risk, settlement strategy, and commercially focused employment matters like unfair dismissal, discrimination, TUPE, and grievances
  • Handle complex litigation, instruct counsel, deliver client training, and build trusted relationships

Requirements

  • Qualified solicitor with solid experience in employment law
  • Strong Employment Tribunal advocacy experience
  • Confident handling your own caseload with minimal supervision
  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills
  • Clear, pragmatic communicator translating legal risk into commercial advice

Nice to have

  • Background advising employer clients
  • Experience with complex or high-value litigation
  • Interest or experience in delivering client training
