What you will do

• Solve real business needs at a large scale by applying your software engineering expertise.
• Ensure consistent delivery against milestones and strong alignment with product leadership.
• Evolve organizational structure to align with long-term initiatives and build strong teams.
• Manage technical debt, including long-term technical architecture decisions and balance product roadmap.
• Lead and participate in technical, product, and design discussions.
• Grow leaders on the team by providing coaching, mentorship, and growth opportunities.

Requirements

• 15+ years of industry experience building and supporting large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience in building, growing, and managing high-performance teams.
• Ability to attract and hire engineers who meet the Databricks hiring principles.
• Existing experience building and running cloud platforms or demonstrated ability to quickly learn new concepts in the SaaS space.
• Experience working cross-functionally with product management and directly with customers.
• BS in Computer Science or Masters or PhD.
